FRATERNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
First Apostolate in New Zealand

Fr Rizzo has been appointed by the Superior General, Fr Berg, to begin the first FSSP apostolate in New Zealand from the beginning of May, at the request of Bishop Jones of Diocese of Christchurch.
Please include Fr Rizzo in your prayers.
  • Fr Define, our new Regional Superior, will offer the 10.30am Mass on the 13th of April at Maternal Heart, Lewisham.

  • LAUNCH OF YOUTH CHOIR: Mr Greg Tondys, the choir director, will begin a monthly instruction for youth who would like to sing in the St Radegund Choir. Monthly practice starts on the first Saturday of the month following 9am Mass commencing April 5.

  • Day of the Unborn Child Mass and Procession: Sunday, April 6, 10.30 Mass at St Mary's Cathedral, celebrated by Bishop Desmond Moore followed by Angelus and the Street Procession returning to the Cathedral for 1.30pm Benediction

  • World Youth Day schedule at Maternal Heart: We will schedule our times around the events of Fr Tattersall's International Latin Mass World Youth Day group Juventutem. For more info.

  • Congratulations, to John and Jane Gresser on the birth of Anton Paschal. The Baptism will be at 12.30am, April 20.

DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS
Sunday, March 30, 3.00pm

Exposition, Chaplet, Confessions, Sermons, Hymns, Benediction

Confessions will be heard continuously as possible from 1pm prior to the 3pm devotions as well as one priest being in the confessional during devotions.

A Plenary Indulgence is granted under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion, and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff) to the faithful who: "on the Second Sunday of Easter (Divine Mercy Sunday), in any church or chapel, in a spirit that is completely detached from the affection for a sin, even a venial sin, take part in the prayers and devotions held in honour of Divine Mercy, or who, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament exposed or reserved in the tabernacle, recite the Our Father and the Creed, adding a devout prayer to the merciful Lord Jesus, e.g., "Merciful Jesus, I trust in You." - Decree of the Apostolic Penitentiary, August 3, 2002.

FRATERNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMMES

  • Fundraising: The fundraising committee has so far raised $4325. The St Joseph's Dinner raised $2500.

  • Help needed: one of community members needs help clearing her backyard. Fit men with utes and/or trailers are needed for a Saturday working bee. Please contact Fr Gresser if you are able to help.

  • Welcome to Sub-Deacon Dominic Poppelwell: We are grateful for his presence here for the Holy Week. He is returning to the seminary this semester and to be ordained Deacon, before returning to Australia.

  • Campion College Latin Scholarship: is looking for people to sponsor students to learn Latin. A one-year scholarship is $3000.

  • House Blessings - It is very important to have your house blessed. This is the time of the year to contact the priests and make an appointment. Please inform the priest when your house was last blessed or how long since the last blessing, and whether the Sacred Heart has been enthroned in your home.
