NOVEMBER ENVELOPES
A Novena of Masses from November 2 to 9 is being said by the priests for the names included in your November envelopes.

The November Envelope names are also remembered at the Memento for the dead in the Canon of the Mass for all our November Masses.

As we do every year, our intentions for the Masses we are saying also include all the Envelopes that we will receive up to November 30.

INDULGENCES
Anyone who goes to confession every two weeks and who receives communion at least once during these two weeks can try to earn a plenary indulgence every day.

You must do an approved "work", such as a Holy Hour or a Family Rosary. visiting a cemetary from November 2 until November 9 is also an indulgenced work. (Don't forget that visiting the little cemetary for the Benedictine monks at Lewisham counts for this.) You must also say the prayers for the Pope's intentions: an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Glory Be.

If you are not in the habit of trying to earn indulgences you should get into the habit now, especially for November. You can apply the indulgence you are trying to earn to a Holy Soul in Purgatory.
